A heavier style of chair (circa 1660), which is different in many respects to the American style by the larger shield shaped seat, the leg pattern and the flat front on the steam bent back bow.

Note the Crinoline stretcher under the seat, which is also typically English.

The seat is usually the English shield.

The mark of the chairmaker Every item I craft has my initials ‘RBH’ and the year it was made, either carved on the underside or has an embedded plaque. Each item is issued with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
